While this is not a timely article, it still reflects past moments of great community building. A month ago the seminarians of both Old College and Moreau Seminary participated in the annual Mundelein Basketball Shootout. While the team did not make it to the final day of competition, the players (and fans) put forth a fantastic effort.
The best part of the trip was probably having the weekend to spend time together. This was a great opportunity for both Moreau and Old College to join together in athletics and prayer. In addition to hanging out with each other, we were able to meet seminarians from other Midwestern Seminaries. For me, this was a wonderful scene to see other young men like myself on the same road of discernment just in different parts of the land.
I would like to ask that you keep all young people throughout the world in your prayers that are considering a vocation to the religious life and priesthood. Thank you and God Bless!
