This past weekend has been a mix of emotions for many of us Old Collegians. With midterms arriving this week, a Notre Dame football victory, and Blessed Brother André being canonized in the upcoming week, the house has been filled with anxiety, joy, and grace. I pray for the virtue of perseverance as many Old Collegians, including myself, have papers to write and tests to study for in this upcoming week. The Notre Dame football team did end up beating the University of Pittsburgh this past Saturday, and lightened up the house as we are all overjoyed that our football team is finally at 3 – 3 for the season. With more exciting news, Blessed Brother André will be canonized in about 8 days so many Old Collegians are getting pumped to either fly to Rome or drive to Montreal to join in the festivities that come along with canonizing a saint. This week will be an exciting one here in Old College.
