Spring finally appears to finally be in full swing here in South Bend. Needless to say we have been trying to enjoy the weather as much as possible, but still making our academics a priority. With the weather has also come much outdoor fun with activities such as beach volleyball, the continuation of Bookstore Basketball, as well as our upcoming annual softball game pitting Old College against Moreau Seminary. Unfortunately, late Wednesday night the Papal Bulls, our last remaining team, were eliminated in the third round of Bookstore Basketball in a closely contested game.
With the Ordination of two Holy Cross priests having just taken place this past weekend, we were overjoyed to have both of them, Fr. Kevin Grove, C.S.C. and Fr. Gerard Olinger, Jr., C.S.C., celebrate our evening Masses on Monday and Tuesday respectively. All of us, if we chose to, were also able to receive First Blessings from them.
On Wednesday we hosted Msgr. Ross A. Shecterle, S.T.L., Ph.D., the rector of the American College of Leuven, in the Luther Lounge. As well as celebrating Mass with us, he also informed us about the experience of studying abroad for a semester or two in Leuven, Belgium.
Now as we approach the end of this year in formation we are all studying hard for our final exams as well as writing the last few (or in some cases a lot of) papers. However, do not forget that we are still in the midst of the Easter Season.
Come Holy Spirit,
